Flexible Lining Materials: Aramid Material - GGA
Aramid (Kevlar) Material - GGA
Scan-Pac Green Gripper Aramid (GGA) was developed to satisfy requirements for a product in the upper medium friction range, with extremely low abrasion, low rate of wear, and oil resistance. It contains no metal particles. It is available in semi-flexible rolls and in rigid cured shapes, both flat and curved. The standard thickness range is 1/32" through 3/8". Where greater thickness is required, it can be laminated using various types of backing stock and can be bonded to metal. With its low abrasion, GGA is currently being used against softer metal discs or drums, like copper alloys used in water cooled applications, resulting in low metal wear. It performs well both wet and dry. GGA is currently being used on magnetic brakes and clutches, tensioning devices, and clutch buttons with great success.
  • Wide thickness range - 1/32" thru 3/8"
  • Furnished both semi-flexible (uncured) and rigid (cured)
  • Extremely low abrasiveness reduces metal wear
  • Usable in wet and dry applications
  • Good bondability
  • Adequate rivet holding strength
  • Smooth consistent friction
  • Low sensitivity to speed and pressure (stick/slip resistant)
  • Examples of use: Paper mill unwind and rewind stands, overload and slip applications, clutches and brakes, tensioning units
