Scan-Pac Manufacturing Inc. has earned its reputation by supplying high quality non-asbestos friction and Gatke Phenolic-laminate materials to both the OEM and distributor markets. Scan-Pac has the capability to add numerous value-added operations such as bonding or riveting friction parts to metal backing plates, and in certain cases the friction can be integrally molded to the backing plate in one operation. Where molding is not the economical solution, small quantity runs can be machined to final configuration. Scan-Pac also has the capability to package a complete part kit where required. Scan-Pac is positioned to be your "one-stop source" for friction or Gatke Phenolic-laminate bearing and wear material.
Scan-Pac Manufacturing also has invested significant resources into our R&D department that has resulted in the development of several new friction materials designed for specific and unique applications. In many cases, one of our existing friction formulations will satisfy the needs of your applications. Scan-Pac has two PhD chemists on staff that can develop friction materials with properties to fit the specific needs of your application and a full friction materials testing lab.
