Scan-Pac offers a complete line of brake blocks and draw-works sets specifically for most popular drilling and well service rigs. Scan-Pac oilfield products, through one challenging application after another, have earned the reputation of exceptional performance and consistent quality. Scan-Pac also offers a complete line of molded cathead and gear tooth clutch facings. The line of Green Gripper Oilfield Products by Scan-Pac have become the industry standard of performance, quality and value.

Scan-Pac has developed hi-energy pads used on 2nd generation disc brakes. In addition, the company released the cost effective Gemini line of brake blocks for drilling and workover rigs.

Oilfield Brake Blocks & Bands

The new “A-Block” by Scan-Pac is the only premium non-asbestos woven material that reduces downtime and repair costs. It has been developed specifically for the oil field for use on draw-works and well servicing rigs. Extensive field evaluations confirm that this product provides outstanding performance in this demanding application area. The “A-Block” exhibits smooth, long-lasting trouble-free service with excellent seat-in. Further enhancements have been introduced which significantly reduce abrasion on rims and flanges. The resulting “A-Block” provides the oil field with an upgrade product with premium performance.

Oilfield Clutch Facings

Scan-Pac offers a variety of facings to meet the most severe oilfield and industrial applications. Both ID and OD geartooth facings are produced in either RF38 standard duty medium friction material and in RF52 high strength high torque material, but upon request can be molded in most Scan-Pac materials. The clutch insulator plates are molded from a specially developed non-metallic formulation which exhibits excellent insulating properties while presenting a smooth tough surface in your critical clutch applications. Cathead facings are available in standard manufacturer configurations , in either an RF formulation or GGW woven material and can be readily cross-referenced by a Scan-Pac technical representative.
