Gemini Product Overview
Scan-Pac Mfg. Inc. is pleased to offer our new Gemini line of industrial friction materials. The Gemini Brand of friction materials was developed by Scan-Pac., Inc. to meet the needs of our customers and provide the highest value in friction material offerings in the marketplace. We are introducing four new rigid molded formulations with coefficients of friction ranging from .15 to .59 and a new woven material for both industrial and oilfield applications. The new Gemini molded materials will be produced in our Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility under the titles GL (Gemini Low), GM (Gemini Mid), GMH (Gemini Mid-High) and GH (Gemini High). These materials offer substantial savings and will be available in any of the products you currently purchase using our premium lines of RF material formulations.
The new Gemini woven material will be produced in our Magnolia, Texas facility. The Gemini woven was also developed with the price conscious consumer in mind as the material offers considerable savings over our premium Green Gripper Woven material. The new woven material is available in roll form, cut pieces, oilfield blocks, grooved lining, and lining with drilled holes. Scan-Pac’s Gemini Oilfield brake block material was developed for use on draw-works and well servicing rigs. Gemini Oilfield provides a constant friction level with excellent fade resistance. This brown material is also unaffected by oil, grease, or water. In addition to superior performance, this product is available with the fastest delivery in the industry to reduce downtime. Scan-Pac Gemini-GX Extruded material was developed to satisfy the price conscious consumer without sacrificing the quality you’ve come to expect from our products. Gemini-GX is an extruded material that offer a coefficient of friction of .40 and low wear rate (.003 inch^3 / hp-hr.). This material offers a high level of flexibility and cures easily when bonding to brake bands, shoes, or disc pads. GX has been extensively tested to ensure it will perform at a high level while offering a price savings.
Scan-Pac Gemini Woven friction material was developed with the price-conscious consumer in mind and at the same time maintains our high level of quality. While exhibiting low wear rates, the new woven material boasts a high coefficient of friction. The tightly woven dense construction of Gemini Woven provides premium life characteristics. In addition, the asbestos-free lining is not fazed by oil, grease, or water. Scan-Pac Gemini Molded was developed to satisfy the price conscious end consumer without sacrificing quality. The Gemini Molded series of frictions includes 4 different formulations that range in coefficient of friction from .15 to .59 coefficients of friction to meet your application’s most demanding requirements. This new series of rigid molded frictions is available for any product that is currently using one of our existing rigid molded frictions, such as RF38 or RF52. This new product offering has been extensively tested in Scan-Pac’s R&D lab as well as field tested to ensure the material will perform at a high level while offering price savings.
