Oilfield

Scan-Pac offers a complete line of brake blocks and draw-works sets for the most popular drilling well service rigs in the market. Couple this with a complete line of molded cathead linings and gear tooth clutch facings and Scan-Pac is recognized as the industry leader. Numerous pump jacks are serviced with Scan-Pac flexible woven lining for their band brake applications.

PT Equipment

Scan-Pac manufactures a wide variety of industry standard gear-tooth facings used in power transmission applications such as PTOs and industrial clutches, both disc type and constrictor. They are available in mid-co and hi-co materials as well as specialty materials developed for water-cooled applications and a hi-strength “Kevlar” material.

Paper

Scan-Pac products have solved numerous challenging applications in the paper industry from standard paper mill blocks used in the wide variety of winders to the use of Gatke bearings and “eel slip” wiper blades in the chemically aggressive pulp processing areas.

RailRoad

Scan-Pac produces materials specifically for the demanding conditions of rail markets, both heavy-duty and commuter. Typical applications include vertical and horizontal center plate liners, equalizer seats, snubbers, and numerous wear plate configurations. Scan-Pac “Gatke” phenolic laminate materials meet the severe requirements of load and impact.




Wind Power

Scan-Pac lo-coefficient materials have proven to be an excellent solution for the Wind mill “Yaw” brake application. Metal & Aluminum

Scan-Pac “Gatke” bearing liners are running every day in Steel and Aluminum “Hot-Mill” rolling operations. This high-strength phenolic laminate is produced to the exacting dimensions of the particular rolling mill and functions with the coolant of the rolling operation resulting in a lo-friction and resistant bearing.

Specialty Kevlar type materials have been utilized in bearings for enhanced strength and wear characteristics.
